Action RPG in a dark, fantasy world
Path of Exile 2 is a free action experience from Grinding Gear Games, poised as a next-generation role-playing game to succeed the original Path of Exile game. Set years after the first game, players are brought back to the dark fantasy continent of Wraeclast.

Choose from one of 12 character classes and set on a quest to end the corruption. With upgraded visuals, revamped mechanics, and a lot of new content, Path of Exile 2 is the sequel fans deserve. Enjoy it solo or with up to six players, like a smaller-scale Diablo IV.
Revisit Wraeclast like never before
The new storyline in Path of Exile 2 comes in the form of a main campaign divided into six acts, covering a hundred different environments, over 600 monsters, and a hundred different bosses to conquer. Also, instead of the seven classes from the original game, you get 12 different classes — two for every combination of the primary stats of strength, dexterity, and intelligence.
Its character progression also received a massive upgrade. Aside from the starting classes, you’re free to switch and adjust your build as you see fit. The game even offers three Ascendancy classes for each of the starting classes, giving you a total of 36 mid- to end-game character archetypes to choose from. Additionally, the Passive Skill Tree returns, with over 1,500 skills to level up depending on your build.
However, its massive world and gameplay possibilities are severely limited by its multiplayer support. Beyond its immersive solo RPG, you can also play it in an online multiplayer co-op session. Unfortunately, it only supports up to six players per session. Other than that, the game is equally challenging and enjoyable, with a lot of content and gameplay builds to discover.
What to expect in Early Access
Path of Exile 2 offers an enticing early access option for dedicated players and newcomers eager to experience its evolving world. Players with a lifetime spend of USD 480 or more on one platform in Path of Exile automatically gain early access. Alternatively, new Early Access Supporter Packs are available for purchase, offering not only game access but also exclusive microtransactions and collectible physical items.
The early access version includes a substantial amount of content to explore, featuring a campaign of three acts, 50 unique bosses, and around 400 monster types, roughly half the planned content for the full release. Additionally, players gain access to the co-op mode, playable on a single account, allowing for a more collaborative gaming experience.
While many microtransactions from Path of Exile 1 will be available in Path of Exile 2, not all will be immediately accessible. The developers are actively working to integrate these features, though some may initially appear as unavailable. This ongoing process ensures a smoother transition for fans of the franchise.
A definite upgrade from the first title
Path of Exile 2 offers a rich and expansive gaming experience with its six-act campaign, diverse classes, and extensive character progression options. While the multiplayer support is limited to six players per session, the game's intricate world, engaging solo RPG elements, and the versatile Passive Skill Tree make it both challenging and enjoyable. Whether playing solo or with friends, this sequel promises an immersive and dynamic adventure.
